Senior IT and Systems Support

Job Description:

IT and Systems Support are responsible for ensuring the IT meets the requirements of the various users within the office, runs smoothly and efficiently, and new technologies are used to improve business performance. This covers is a wide range of tasks to cover the IT needs for the entire office, including the strategy, design, and execution.

Essential Skills:

• Strong Windows XP and Windows 2003 Server troubleshooting and deployment skills
• Strong PC and Server hardware troubleshooting and deployment skills
• Understanding of TCP\IP
• Network troubleshooting skills
• Strong understanding of managing Windows security and the PC and server levels
• Operational backup of PCs/servers and Disaster Recovery planning
• Detail oriented and organized. Must maintain and accurate inventory of equipment and what they are being used for
• Able to generate network topology diagrams
• Ability to plan and manage a basic budget
• Manage third party IT support vendors
• Ability to be self directed, take a project and run with it
• Excellent English language skills (will be reporting to US based manager)
• 3+ years of related IT experience
  

Preferred Skills:

• Familiarity with PC based video conferencing
• Familiarity with supporting a phone system, 3Com VOIP systems
• Understanding of Firewall administration, Sonicwall and Cisco ASA
• Familiarity with Microsoft IIS 5 and 6
• Familiarity with MS SQL 2000 and 2005
• MS Office 2003 (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access) troubleshooting and deployment skills
• Understanding of Microsoft Network Load Balancing to support the load balancing QA environment
