Softscape is seeking a high energy, detail-oriented Software Support Engineer with strong communication and technical skills. The successful candidate will be both an individual contributor and a team player, and able to manage customer expectations while working on-site at the customer. Expectations will include, but are not limited to troubleshooting specific customer issues, working directly with the customer to determine requirements, developing fixes to customer problems, and unit testing code changes developed by you or others on the team.
- Must be able to set expectations concerning time to resolve and billing status.
- Accountable for resolving an appropriate number of Client issues on a weekly basis.
- Demonstrates creative and tenacious approach to problem solving.
- Maintains and updates knowledge of Softscape’s products
- Seeks out opportunities to learn and practice technical skills.
- Becomes increasingly independent in work.
- Unit tests own work regularly to the point where very few issues should be found by others in his/her code.
- Coordinates effectively within a team environment
- BSCS or equivalent.
- 1 to 10 years of Web Application Development and strong experience with SQL Server, HTML, JavaScript, and Server-side scripting
- Knowledge of a Client-Server environment
- Excellent communication and organization skills
- Application Testing and Deployment
